I am running for school board, inspired by my personal commitment to the future of our schools as my grandchildren are just entering this school district. As a grandparent, I am invested in making sure they, along with all children, receive the best education possible.

Our district is facing significant challenges, particularly in the student achievement area.  Over recent years, we have seen a troubling downward trend. This is not just a statistic; it’s a call to action.  We need to address this issue head-on and I believe that fostering an environment of honest collaboration is the key.  By bringing together teachers, parents, students, and community members, we can create a network that drives positive change.  I am committed to listening to your concerns, valuing your input and working together to implement effective solutions that elevate our educational standards.

Safety is another critical concern.  Every student, teacher, and staff member deserve to feel secure in our schools. I will advocate for comprehensive safety policies that enhance both physical and emotional well-being.  Ensuring a safe environment is crucial for learning and growth and allowing students to thrive.

With 40+ years of banking experience, I feel I can help to improve financial efficiencies thereby ensuring resources are allocated to meet the needs of the students and ensure quality education.  With your support, I am confident that we can turn our vision into reality.  Together, we can reverse the downward trend in student achievement and build a safer, more collaborative school environment.
